Brief Biographical Details |
| Masaya SAITO is a Professor in the Department of Design in
Sapporo City University (SCU), Japan.
At SCU since 2007 via Sapporo School of The Arts(SSTA),
he has directed the Built Environmental Design teaching and several research projects.
He was also appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow at
the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory
which has been organized by
Prof Alan HEDGE
, Cornell University, NY, USA in 2003-04.
Prior to moving Sapporo in 2001, for 6 years he ran some graduate programs in Human Exergetic Analysis
at the laboratory of Built Environmental Systems which has organized by
Prof Masanori SHUKUYA,
Musashi Institute of Technology (currently, Tokyo City University), Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan.
The past 10 years Prof SAITO has applied the Exergetic Analysis to the Built Thermal Environmental Design
with Prof SHUKUYA. He is a member of Network of International Society for Low Exergy Systems in Buildings
(LowEx. Net) as well.
At the same periods, he also has developed the tools and programs for Built Thermal Environmental Education
for collegiate students, kids and others.
Since 2005, he is also appointed as a technical adviser in Kuromatsunai Junior High School
in the eco flow project of re-built environmental campus and developed its associated environmental education
by Ministry of the Environment.
He has alos joined the redesign project of Sapporo Maruyama Zoo since 2006. He is mainly responsible for
the renovated design of orangutan house in 2006-2008 and the environmentally-conscous design of reptiles museum in 2008-2011.
